daily writing 8/6/09

i thought the showcase was a really good idea, and it was quite engagiing. eveyrone got to see our own classes as well as the other classes work, whcih englidshhtbed eveyrone to new subject matter, and mediums. from participating in this showcase, i learned more aobut working in groups, and wrorking around a dead line. we had a short time to complete the showcase, so we hard to work hard and fast to get it done, and get it done right. i really lieks how the showcase was set up, with work on both sides of the room, and each side evaluating th o9ther side. ti seemed to go very smoothely. the onyl thign i did not like was the shrot time we had to overview everyoens projects, i did not get to see and learn about each indivuadal project.
another thing that really blew me away was the geust, alisha harris. she opened my eyes to spoken word, she was an amazing performer.

portfolio organization

I am going to organize my portfolio based on the order Dr. McCracken assigned the assignments. The first step is linking all of my work to my assignments on my wiki page, because they can’t be downloads. I will start with my final portfolio self assessment, and then move on to my midterm portfolio self-assessment. The next step is linking my writing to share experiences self-assessment, and my final draft including all my rough drafts. I will do the same for my writing to share explore drafts. I will follow with my writing to analyze video and my remediation project. I will also add my writing process pictures draft one and two, and make a link to my blog site.

I feel like I have revised all of my assignments equally. However, I have spent many more hours researching my writing to explore paper, and I have revised it a tad bit more than my other papers. I received a lot of feedback from my friends and peers on how to revise my papers. However, Dr. McCrackens notes on my writing to explore mid term assessment really helped me to revise my paper better. From all of this I have learned a lot more about revisions, and how important they really are. I noticed that I hadn’t been saving my papers in different drafts put pasting the new drafts over the rough drafts. My end goal for revising my portfolio entrees is making sure I am showing my best work possible.

When I reflect upon my writing abilities I feel as if I am not as secure of a writer as I could be. I believe that if I take in what my peers are telling me when they revise my papers, that I will learn how to become a better writer. I have problems with revising my work, and id like to get better at revising. Id like to learn from my past mistakes, and make all my papers better by revising them. I will do this tomorrow, and complete my papers to my final draft. My expectations of this course did not match up to what the reality is. Yes there is a lot of work., but it is all to make us better writers.

daily writing 8/03

i have chosen to showcase two projects because i really like two of my projects. im pretty sure we are shwocasing oru remediation project as a group, and showcasing our horse to everyone interested in viewing it. the purpose we are trying to get across is showing the world what Instride is all about. were trying to reach the people who want to learn more, and educate the general public about instride.
the other project im going to do for my showcase is my writing to explore document. i really worked hard on this,and id like to get this ifnomation out there for the viewres to see. i think that alot of people dont really have a good grasp on what is going on in the homeless community, and they really need to take a second to look at the streets, and wahts goign on in the economy.
