ch 2 personal response

In a general summary chapter two describes what to do prior to writing your paper. In order to learn better and absorb more knowledge you must be an active reader. Good note taking is key to becoming an active note reader. Also a reader should skim the text my reading the first and last sections of a paragraph as well as any elements that are highlighted in some way. A writer must learn to annotate effectively. Annotating is interacting actively with the text as you read. Such as marking the text or using sticky notes and reminders. Reading visuals are another form of being an active reader \, such as reading billboards posters, etc. reading web sites was discussed in this chapter, and reading websites can expand your knowledge and you can gain specific information.
