when i read writing to inform i gained information on many levels. i learned more about rhetorical knowledge. as with giving readers info, consideration should b e given as to what your readers already know about the topic. the medium and genre should be decided ahead to time, to get the information across to the audience more effectively. a lot of the writing done in college will be writing to inform. the purpose of mist reading is to learn new information, many writing assignments will require you to relate new facts and concepts to other facts and concepts you already know. with critical thinking reading adn writing, you need to consider the qualities of successful writing. how can visuals be helpful to the reader. and how a strong focus, is relevant to useful information and accurate writing.
