ch 8
in ch 8 i learned that when writing to persuade you must always have a specific purpose. persuasive writing is prevalent thorough out the business and professional life. in other words, throughout our lifetime we will be doing a lot of persuasive writing. writing to persuade is also present in civic and personal settings, because we are always negotiating with those around us. i also learned more about rhetorical considerations for persuasive writing. i realized that there is always an intended audience, and there is also the sub audience. you have to figure out what you want them to believe. how they are going to respond to it, and how you are going to convince them. the purpose must be established, as with the voice tone and point of view. the purpose is to make your audience aware of your issue, and to convince them of its significance.
